Since 2004, Middleware Associates has been an OEM software development partner with HID. In 2004, Middleware Associates worked closely with HID during the development, testing and deployment of the industry’s first PoE door controller named HID EDGE. Consequently, Middleware Associates was the very first  software development partner for the EDGE product line. These products revolutionaized the industry and have now finished their life cycle of 18 years. Subsequentyly HID acquired Mercury Security so they could keep their foot hold on the controller side of the business.
